Event Details

The excitement a first time supervisor feels when promoted can quickly turn to self doubt or even dread. Recent surveys report that 25% of those new to managing others claim they were not ready to move into their role. And 60% report they did not receive the training and support needed for success. Longitudinal studies show nearly half of those promoted to management positions underperform in the first 100 days directly correlating with long term lower performance. The results have remained relatively consistent for the last 15 years despite organizational efforts to improve them. Yet some organizations have bucked these trends through the deployment of structured and targeted solutions. In this webinar we will discuss the role HR can play in shaping the success of new managers, review the top struggles for first time managers, explore the practical frameworks HR can deploy to address the challenges, and introduce scalable tools to avoid the most common traps.
