Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) are an effective tool to development and correct employee performance especially in the current labor market. National Board of Directors President Blaise Lamphier's vision of leadership by collaboration inspired this session to engage LR peers that may have limited experience with PIP's and other ER tasks. Presented from the practitioner's perspective and direct experiences, this session will:

  • Navigate the pros and cons of PIP's.
  • Demonstrate the potential success stories when implemented well.
  • Discuss the leadership challenges with frontline supervision for successful PIPs.
  • Review the pitfalls when not taken seriously.
