Demonstrating accountability sets leaders apart and is necessary for any high-performing team. In this workshop, people explore reasons why there may be a lack of accountability on the team, and how to address it. They also reflect on how their own behaviors contribute to the success of, or lapse in, accountability on the team. Goal clarity and pathways to goal achievement are examined, and elements of proper structure and follow-up that lead to strong group results are discussed. Participants leave with a practical understanding of what accountability is, and actionable tools for driving results through others. They begin to see what's possible when they hold themselves accountable and when they, as leaders, create a culture of accountability for the team.

Objectives:

·        Personal Accountability

  • Define accountability, recognize behaviors associated with it, and how being accountable contributes to trusting relationships and exceptional results
  • Understand behaviors and attitudes that demonstrate accountability and those that detract from it

·        Holding Others Accountable

Understand how clarity of expectations and follow-up lead to better and more predictable results

  • Review an accountability model to identify and implement mechanisms for creating a culture of accountability
