General Summary
Under limited supervision and working remotely, position will coordinate and lead training and educational programs for the association. Type of work includes but not limited to planning and facilitating in-person and virtual academy courses, online webinars, and supporting onsite conferences for the national association and affiliated state chapters. Position will include limited travel and onsite administrative conference support.
- Coordinate speakers and presentation materials for planned courses.
- Facilitate completion certificates and digital filing for archival purposes.
- Assist with event management utilizing association management software.
- Liaison with association committees as assigned and support administrative tasks.
- Review, follow-up, and manage Certified Labor Relations Professional (CLRP) applications, recertifications, and document verification.
- Assist with and lead program development for assigned training programs to maintain a proactive itinerary of training opportunities for members and future members.
- Facilitate education and training surveys, consolidate data, and review for trends to improve user experiences.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Must be task-oriented, self-starter to maintain deliverables while working remotely.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications, including OneNote and SharePoint and commitment to use solutions for all associated tasks.
- Must possess ability to quickly learn and become proficient with software applications for website content as well as association management.
- Possess a customer-oriented, positive, objective professional attitude to support members and future members.
- Ability to travel and support association needs as scheduled.
- Proficient in professional use of video conferencing (Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc.) to complete assigned tasks, including knowledge or ability to learn Zoom webinar tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated customer service experience with support services, public sector experience a plus. An understanding and/or direct experience with the National or a State PELRA is preferred.
- Ability to consistently and accurately complete assign tasks by deadline.
- Availability to fulfill assigned training and education tasks, either remotely or in-person
